There are plenty of ways to shed fat and if you're trying to shed some of those extra pounds, you've already tried plenty of them such as exercise, fasting, dieting and even starving yourself in some cases.
Of all the methods; exercise and picking a healthy diet work best, but there is another way that you would enjoy and that is - saunas!
It may seem too good to be true and you may think that you're just losing water weight as you're not doing anything just sweating. However, there are plenty of cases where people have shed a lot of weight using saunas and it's proven that they actually work. So, let's take a look at how these wonderful relaxing moments could also lead to a better physical appearance.
How do saunas help you shed those extra pounds?
You may think that it's just water that's lost, of course water is lost; but, that's not all. At around 42 - 44 degrees centigrade your body's fat becomes water soluble and hence could also be lost along with sweat as most saunas are above this temperature (Actually they all are).
However, the above reason is just one of the many reasons as to why you lose weight when you're in a sauna. Your body would try and cool itself down and hence your entire cardiovascular system would be given a good workout trying to pump blood all over your body faster than usual.
Sweat would also be able to increase your body's metabolism and hence the next time you work out you would lose fat faster. This happens because as you sweat your body would get rid of heavy metals and other unwanted particles in your blood stream which would otherwise hamper the overall rate of metabolism.
Other options
It's not necessary that you only use a sauna, you could also use steam rooms if you wish. However the temperature in a steam room would naturally be lower than that in a sauna. Therefore, you would lose less weight. These rooms would also be good for people with lung problems such as asthma.
However, if you're aim is to shed some extra pounds, saunas are the best option. Not everyone likes saunas, but if you're determined to lose weight you would surely get used to them and you'd actually be able to see fat roll off your body (It's just going to be sweat, nothing to worry about)
